Skyjackers, the prequel to J.D. Staudt’s Driftmetal series takes place in a world just starting to shatter. The very event that effects the setting of Driftmetal.
There’s a fantastic Terry Gilliam (director of Time Bandits, Brazil, and Twelve Monkeys) feel to the characters. The ridiculous personalities, but grounded emotions in the characters, are not only entertaining, but provide a complete three dimensional feel to them.
He is definitely one of the best writers on this side of self-publishing so far and you can't go wrong with reading this first episode as it introduces a world with plenty of material floating around in it.

Wacky,hilarious,well-written,family-orientated steampunk! I like it
Took me a couple of tries but once I did I enjoyed and looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
good read but short and the total for all the "episodes" is not worth it in my opinion.
A decent read
Nice read to pass the time. Could use a bit more attention to characters to develop them more but as I said nice light read to pass the time.
